"Ligh-ling MuhQween"

The other day Mando and I counted up how many Lighting McQueens we have.  We counted 12.  TWELVE McQueens!  That's ridiculous.  And that's not even counting McQueen paraphernalia like the table and chairs, posters, and backpack.

Isn't this picture a little sad? (In case you're counting, we couldn't find one of the McQueens for the picture.)

This one is adorable, though :)

"One of these things is not like the other..."  Can you spot the rogue school bus?  That has become his new obsession.  So, although we have a DOZEN Lightning McQueens, he no longer plays with any of them...  He carries the school bus around like a security blanket.  It's so funny what things kids glom onto.

Belly pics

I kind of hate belly pictures, but I felt that I should probably document this pregnancy.
Please excuse my stretch marks.

Pregnant with twins, 35 weeks.

Line upon line....of cars

Nicholas' favorite thing to do with his cars is to put them in lines.  I will often find a line of cars in the most random of places.

See the cars line up in the space between the floor and the door of the hall closet.

See the cars line up in the bathroom.

See the cars line up on Mommy's legs.

Babies in Nicholas

Wa-yah

We have this big down comforter in a blue duvet (thank you, Katie... it's one of the things we're "borrowing" until she comes back from New Zealand.  Good luck getting those things back, by the way, as they've all found permanent homes in our new dwelling :)  bwa-ha-ha!)

Anyway, we keep this on the couch downstairs because it gets rather chilly downstairs.  Mando says it's considerably colder than "a bit chilly," and he refuses to even come downstairs without long pants, socks, and a fleece.  One time I think he even brought his scarf.  Of course, I've also seen him sleep with his scarf on, so I'm not surprised.

Nicholas likes to spread it out on the floor and pretend it's water, or, as he says, "Wa-yah."  Then he insists that all of us get in the water.  And then he wants his cars to get in the water, and he makes the pillows be the boats.  It makes me smile every time :)  He also likes to position the water right at the bottom of his slide.  Then he lines all of his cars up at the top of the slide and slowly tips them until they go careening down the slide, landing in the "water."  He will scream, "Oh no!"  every time he pushes one off.

Here we are on a lazy Sunday evening in the wa-yah.

Haircut

We finally took Nicholas to get his hair cut.  It was out of control.

I usually take him to my friend Natalie's house, but since we've moved it got harder and harder to set up a time with her because I no longer see her every Wednesday/Sunday.  She does such a good job of keeping the curls (not to mention it only costs $5 as opposed to $20), that I really didn't want to take him anywhere else.

But he was starting to look a little like the caveman from the Geico commercials,
so we took him to Snip Its!

My adorable curly-headed toddler

In other news:

We learned how to put marker caps on our fingers

And played in the snow :)
