Nitchisms
Things Nicholas has been saying lately:
At breakfast this morning--- "Hey, Dad... come here. I just need to talk to you for a second."
The reason this is so funny to me is because Nicholas spent yesterday at Jenn's house. I hear Jenn use this phrase, "I just need to talk to you for a second," all the time.
At dinner a few days ago Nicholas was taking fooooorever to finish eating. I had a monster headache (really, I've just had a continuous sleep deprivation headache for months now and it flares up once or twice a day), so I went to go sit on the couch with Lauren while Armando sat with Nicholas and Kate. I was talking to Lauren saying, "La, la, la, Lauren.....Can you say la la la Lauren?" Nicholas piped up and said, "Can you say Ni, ni, ni Nicholas?" We chuckled a bit, but then he went on to talk about the babies using "him" and "he." Armando said, "No, this is a her. She's a girl." Nicholas said, "No, Dad he not a her. Can you say Baby, Dad?"
This morning I came downstairs and saw him sitting on the couch petting his stuffed Panda. "Hey, Mom," said Nicholas, "I petting him pecuz he's grumpy and needs to sweep." :) A common phrase in our household. Then he put his panda and his teddy bear down on the guest bed and covered them with a blanket. "Look mom, I put them down to sweep!"
Other awesome phrases:
"My tenefone is out of batternings."
I always say to him, "Let me hold your cars so we don't lose them." So now when he hands me his cars he says, "Hey, Mom.... can you lose this?"
