Tiny places

The girls have highchairs that snap onto regular high-backed dining chairs.  They both eat on the side of the table right next to the window.  So when their chairs are pushed near the table, it creates a narrow alleyway between the wall (which has long curtains) and these high-backed chairs with seats attached.  Basically it's like a long, narrow cave.  You can only see into the tunnel from either end, or squatting down to peek through the legs of the chairs under the table.  The girls' new favorite thing to do is chase each other back and forth through this tunnel.  It's quite an ingenious little hiding spot.  If they're squatting down and being quiet (usually munching on whatever has fallen to the ground from the last feeding time), you wouldn't really know where they were!  It makes them squeal with laughter every time I quietly squat down on the other side of the table and peer at them through the legs of the chairs.

They seem to really like small, enclosed spaces because their second favorite activity is to sneak between the side of the couch and the wall, reach through the iron fence (yes, we have an iron fence in our living room....sigh), and pluck my keys from the nail on the wall.  They have a pretty good reach for such tiny arms.  Only one baby can fit in this space at a time (because I keep pushing the couch closer and closer to the wall hoping they can't squeeze through), so they are often climbing over top of each other to be the first to reach the keys.  Watching them do this reminds me of newborn puppies trying to get to the milk.  Or little rat babies.

Just some cute pictures that have nothing to do with the post.

Nicholas who never stops moving so every picture of him is blurry!

Did I already post this? Because I love it.
